I made THIS last night, in reference to goals, both short, and long-term.  I'm finding it pretty inspiring so far.  Let's see how I do!

Happy 2013, y'all!

Yeah! I wanted to have something I can add to, change, mark out if I reach a particular goal!

That's good. That's better than me. I'm not good at following lists or sticking to them.

#73: Learn Gaelic.

Hmmm.

Irish Gaelic or Scots Gaelic? Either way, both are sexy. :)

By the way. You should TOTALLY add "Travel to Alaska" to that list, so that we can hang out and have a massive nerdfest. :) Just make sure you do it in the summer, because summer is awesome time in the great state of AK.

And the fact that attending Bonnaroo is NOWHERE on that list? Makes me sad. You're practically in Bonnaroo's backyard, for fuck's sake. I mean, it's only one of the most important American music festivals EVER, along with Outside Lands, Coachella, and the recently christened Orion festival. Speaking of Orion, I think EVERYONE should attend a Metallica concert in their lifetime, because it's an amazing event, with the most awesome, hardcore, passionate fans ever, and having attended a few of these myself, you're guaranteed to meet a metric fuckton of really cool people.

Jus' sayin'. ;)

Irish. My family immigrated from there, and I just think it's a beautiful language. I would like to at least learn some basics. :)

I really should. I've been watching this series "Buying Alaska," about people looking to move there and some of the locations are just...drop-dead gorgeous.

See, there's never THAT many people I want to see at Bonnaroo. I'm only like 45 minutes away from where it's held, so it really is kind of sad I've never gone. My brother went once and loved it. I'll keep an eye on the line-up though. ;)

Music festivals are not always necessarily about the lineup. And mostly, they're always promoting the high-profile, main stage acts anyway. There are always plenty of people you're not likely to want to see, but there's always another stage where someone else you may NEVER have heard of before who could end up being fucking AWESOME is playing. So I think it's worth it to go just to have the experience of going. And the point I made with the Metallica bit still stands: odds are good you're going to meet a lot of cool, interesting, awesome people at one of these things. That's gotta be worth something.
